Happy Recovery weekend

to you all..!!!!

The pies are gone, and we had a (better than thanksgiving) turkey sandwich yesterday...

The dinner was a success... a few not so great things but wonderful enough!! I took yesterday off and pretty much just lounged around the house...

I received this in my email from Right at Home scrapbooking.. (my lss)

"We're also welcoming in some lucky ladies that have received a Special Invitation to our Holiday Party. You're in for a Christmasy treat today full of wonderful projects that are sure to get you in the Christmas spirit!"

hmm... wonder what they have up their sleeves?? lol so I will sneak out for a few hours to day and hopefully come home and clean up my yard...

I can't put up holiday decor next week with fall looking front lawn... kwim?

rainy day today..........

and I feel like doing absolutely NOTHING!! but Im cooking Thanksgiving dinner here so I can't just be sitting around like this!
My hands look like this... filled with paint and glitter and it makes me happy to see them like that but its time to go and clean...
I am finishing up some art journal pages... I have a few posted in my MY Space photo gallery and will share them here later on this week...

feeling a bit paranoid

lately... as if I am being watched... eerie I tell ya....

I just got to get through this crazy week... remember to actually take some photos and enjoy myself and drink a bit of wine!

been working on organization and taking some pics for Jon who is listing some of his scuba equiptment on ebay... pain in the butt listing all of it!

somebody cool has been inspiring me to draw like heck... here are some of my doodles!

so moved

today... and inspired by my surroundings... the coffee smells extra good... my hair smells awesome.. don't know why? Its not new shampoo?? lol

Maybe its the super brisk frigid weather we are in right now that has awakened my senses...

Feel like getting in the holiday mood... I know... don't throw tomatoes at me! Its too early but I did this little doo dad while sipping a peppermint mocha at Starbucks the other day... (did you know they were already there!?)

The problem is that I keep eating all the chocolate right out of it... Lord, I need some restraint with coffee and chocolate! lol

more scrappy days to come

in the dream cafe today( my studio)... after cleaning, I will spend the day creating... I can feel it in my bones.. I woke up and knew today I will make art!

I really love this hobby... A few cutesy cards and a sneak of my art journal page... many many more to come!

another week has passed... boy, I cannot get this blogging thing down... I should just set a weekly goal already! rofl

Looking soooooo forward to stalking the online sites as Twilight premieres in Hollywood tonight... I dont' even care about Friday movie... but seeing the cast , in their dresses, the beautiful Rob (sigh) and watch all the celebs make this movie come to life... I really really am hoping its not all hyped up... the book was soooo good!

to have stayed away so long!

I had one very sick hubbie totake care of... He is better now and out hunting today so I thought I'd pop in and share some things I've been working on!

Lots of little embellishments/ornaments for my Etsy shop... aren't they cute?... all glittered up and painted and layered... just the way I like em! ;)

Now I am going to spend the week working on Holiday cards... boy its coming fast... can you feel it?

We spent this morning as a family before the man went off hunting... going out to breakfast... one of our favorite traditions... What have you all done this holiday?

I see many of you have been busy as well.. which is why I"ve been so inspired to scrap, create and make art... some wonderful creations out there!!!

the morning... and WAYtoo much moola at BElla ART in Johnston, RI this am.... Carol (my neighbor) and I grabbed coffee and had fun browsing the cute little store... stocking up for Holiday cards....
gonna spend the next few weeks stamping and getting ready... It will be here before we know it!!

Today along with our parent teacher conferences.... I VOTED!!!!!! Did you vote yet... if not... get out and VOTE.... I don't want to hear ANY excuses or complaints... unless you have voted...
It is our American right, and I am proud and priviledged and wear my "I voted" sticker ;) proudly... setting the example to my kids...
I don't care how you vote or who you vote for... just please... go VOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Candy Candy Candy....

I feel like Garfield saying that! lol

A good time was had by all on Halloween

Victoria and the kids came over and we played in the front yard and got into a massive leaf fight!! AFter everyone was covered in leaves we went in to greet nana and papa and have Meatball sandwiches before venturing out for trick or treat...

Ryan did really great this year... he and Mia lasted about the same amount of time and we retired for homemade apple crisp over vanilla ice cream...

It was a very quiet Halloween though this year... Erin and Jon did the entire neighborhood... Jon finally had her call it quits when she couldn't carry her bag anymore!!!

WE have tooooo much candy leftover ... IM just waiting for the word of the charity organizations that ask for them... before I go through it all and donate it to Tap In... Just too much I tell ya!

I packaged up my Halloween craft stuff back into stock and am looking ahead to xmas already... ooo it moves quick.. Im hoping to make too much holiday stuff so I don't need to panic so much next year... I've learned my lesson!
