More peace cards

Back today with two more cards using Simon Says Stamps newest holiday released dies, stencils and stamps.
My first card features the negative space after cutting out the letters Peace that I used in another card. I also used a stamped greeting from an extra stamp set that coordinates with the large peace and joy ones.
The background layers patterned papers from Recollections and Studio Calico and used Texture paste through the stencil. After it dried I layered it with multi colors of distress inks. The paper was Kraft so the snow looks more subdued.
I left the greeting block stark white and also cut this snowflake border die ( also Simon Says Stamps).
My next card is completely the negative space from die cuts. I added white paper behind the snowflakes and the patterned paper behind the sentiment. I layered a few of the snowflakes overlapping the negative space background and added adhesive and Distress rock candy glitter to frost them with bling!
Assorted gems, sequins and silver stars embellish and accent the simple design.
In light of all the violence around the world, I will be doing many more peace cards this year for holidays and other occasions. We all need to be reminded of this.
With peace, kimo

Holiday style

Today I am sharing a card I made inspired by Online Card Classes Holiday Style . I am not really very 'clean nor simple' but I liked using the techniques of creating a simple front and using die cuts as the greeting... The word peace is a die cut from Simon Says Stamp.

I hear embossed the background with Tim Holtz snowflake stamp in versamark ink and set it with Rangers Platinum powder.
I also cut a snowflake die and used a Wink of Luna marker over the surface in several layers so it looked glittery.
Tied a little charm with twine and added a button to an extra piece of madras ribbon that I layered and stapled with my mini stapler.
I'll be back soon to show you what I did with the negative space of the dies.

Blustery bunny birthday card

This little Mama Elephant stamp set is super cute. I wanted to create a background that seemed blustery and uncertain.
This bunny reminds me of my Ry . He turns 16 next week and has overcome many obstacles and keeps on going... A very slow pace but he keeps on going! :) anyways, I thought this determined bunny reminded me so much of him!!
I used gelatos and distress inks for colors. I took my silver Wink of Luna pen over the inked background, balloons and cloud.
