Clear and Sheer

I am so excited to be taking Online Card Classes newest class Clear and Sheer.
It starts today and I am in need of some serious help when it comes to acetate, sheers and vellums on my projects.

Here is an example of a card where I added the sentiment in a frosty vellum . It seems to just be floating there? This example is a more grungy look so it's probably okay but  I'm hoping to get some tips that can make my use of sheer layers look more professional.

Hope

For this weeks Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge, butterfly beauty.
I had fun creating this mixed media card using a ton of Tim Holtz/ Ranger products including the yummy Distress crayons.
A million random techniques to get this artistic butterfly and random extra silk flowers stapled to the canvas for a grungy look. Such a fun spring look!

Reverse Confetti

SFYTT April was a funky one.
I played around and layered my card stock to create the basic form. Instead of obvious circles I was inspired to create a mini scene using the cute koalas from "bear hugs". The hello sentiment is from "the tweet life" and the butterflies from "Hippity Hoppity".
I used both Distress inks for the background and Copic markers for my critters.
This will be a cute card to add to my nieces birthday package.
